Foot crushed in mill accident

SERIES OF ACCIDENTS

Three accidents occurred on Wednesday. Cornelius Chester (16), Featherstone, got crushed at Snydale Colliery between a corf and the coal face. Albert Heptondale (15), of Potovens, got his foot crushed, through getting into a wheel when working at Mr Marriott’s mill in Balne Lane, Wakefield, and Patsey Flannaghan, labourer at Mr Flowers’ brickyard, Eastmoor, Wakefield, sustained a scalp wound and concussion of the brain by some clay falling upon him. All three were taken to the hospital, and are progressing as favourably as can be expected.
